We are a full-spectrum Acuity Adaptable unit, providing med/surg through ICU level care. This unit manages 30-beds while providing care for a variety of patient populations with a focus on Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Endocrinology, and Oncology. Our services align with our strategic mission to deliver comprehensive, high quality cardiac and cancer services to the South-Central Region. This unit features a strategic education plan to train the novice to expert Registered Nurse to accommodate this model of care.

Nursing skills gained on this unit :

Obtain CCRN, CMC, CSC, ONC, and Chemotherapy certifications

Critical thinking skills while maintaining patients from low to high acuity

Understanding how to balance nurse to patient ratios while providing excellent patient care

Qualifications

Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.

Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.

Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
