Per Diem Critical Care Nurse Practitioner
Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our critical care team for per diem night coverage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and be comfortable managing acutely ill patients in a fast-paced environment during overnight hours. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients during night shifts Perform patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans Manage ventilators, vasoactive medications, and other critical care interventions Respond to emergencies, codes, and rapid clinical changes Collaborate closely with attending physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record Qualifications
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Minimum of 1 year of critical care experience (ICU required) BLS and ACLS certification (required) Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills Ability to work independently during overnight shifts Excellent communication and teamwork skills Schedule & Coverage
Per diem / part-time Night shifts only: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Flexible scheduling based on departmental needs
