What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Submit prior authorizations to insurance companies to ensure timely prescription coverage for patients
Verify insurance coverage and prescription formularies to facilitate payment for prescriptions
Maintain accurate documentation of authorizations and authorization statuses
Address patient concerns and questions regarding the authorization process through incoming calls
Collaborate with insurance companies, pharmacies, and providers to resolve authorization issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of one year of experience in office work preferred
Proficiency in personal computers, including word processing and electronic spreadsheets
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of chemical dependency and its effects on individuals, families, and communities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with eClinicalWorks or similar systems
Ability to multitask and learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment
