Campus Safety & Security Specialist

Overview The Department of Safety and Security is dedicated to ensuring a safe, secure, disruptive-free learning environment for students, staff, and visitors. The department implements safety and security policies, access control procedures, accident prevention, risk management, fire safety, and emergency management. The department is also responsible for emergency preparedness training and serves as a liaison to police, fire, and the juvenile court.

Staff and Contacts The department is composed of a staff of 12, including a Director, a Senior Safety Specialist, nine Safety Specialists, and a clerk. Representatives speak Haitian Creole and Spanish. Parents, students, and community members are encouraged to call 617.349.6772 or email security@cpsd.us to report any situations or disputes involving CPS students. The office is open Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM.
