Role Overview We are leading a Digital Transformation across our Americas Division as we continue to modernize our technology, focus on a data‑driven approach, and scale our operations. As a result of this expansion, we are seeking an experienced
Business Analyst
in Charlotte, NC, with 10+ years of experience—primarily in financial market data or reference data—to support the design and development of a strategic data platform for our Capital Markets and Securities groups.
Role Objectives
Team Integration:
Join a Data Strategy team spanning across broker‑dealer and swap‑dealer entities.
Analysis:
Perform business and data analysis for strategic data projects and enhancements across various financial products.
Project Leadership:
Lead new projects from inception through go‑live, managing the full project lifecycle including project initiation documents, business requirements (BRDs), and status reports.
UAT Management:
Lead front‑to‑back User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across users and developers.
Roadmap Collaboration:
Partner with senior management and delivery leads to create solution roadmaps and provide timely status updates on deliverables.
Facilitation:
Lead requirements gathering and design sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
Agile Coordination:
Facilitate daily/weekly developer scrums, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Backlog Management:
Support agile activities including user story creation, acceptance criteria definition, and identifying key dependencies or risks.
Quality Assurance:
Document QA test plans and execute test cases; liaise with business users to track defects and enhancements.
Documentation:
Write user documentation and conduct training sessions on new functionality as needed.
Production Support:
Assist with production implementation, coordinate user validation across impacted Control Functions, and participate in general BAU application enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience:
10+ years in Capital Markets as a Project Manager or Business Analyst, specifically with system implementations or central datamarts (e.g., Security Master or Pricing Master).
Domain Knowledge:
Solid understanding of financial terminology and various securities/asset classes.
Data Expertise:
Experience with data projects involving data architecture, data models, lineage, data quality, and data dictionaries.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface confidently with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
Analytical Skills:
Proven ability to interpret complex business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong skills in MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Professionalism:
Strong work ethic with a focus on meeting deadlines and the ability to learn new products/systems quickly.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an MBA is preferred.
