Restaurant Manager — DraftKings Sports & Social, Troy, MI
DraftKings Sports & Social Troy is bringing the ultimate fan experience to the Somerset Collection in Troy, MI. With a 32‑foot media wall, 20+ HDTVs, and an expansive bar and dining area featuring live music, the DraftKings Lounge, crush bar, outdoor patio, and games, this is the perfect destination for sports enthusiasts.
Manager Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with service standards and operating procedures.
Adhere to federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
Supervise day‑to‑day operations of the food and beverage outlets.
Plan and organize work schedules and activities.
Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
Recommend staffing actions (salary, disciplinary, etc.) in alignment with company policies.
Alert management to potential issues.
Ensure staff is trained, certified, and equipped.
Greet guests, address complaints, and implement service recovery guidelines to achieve total guest satisfaction.
Assist in developing promotions and marketing programs for special menu items and increased patronage.
Monitor restaurant performance via guest feedback and financial results; initiate corrective action as needed.
Maintain inventory and equipment security, replenish supplies, and minimize waste and costs.
Achieve budgeted revenues, control labor costs, and maximize profitability.
Prepare the annual operating budget supporting outlet objectives.
Ensure all equipment is operational and cleaned regularly.
Ensure facilities are cleaned, vacuumed, and stocked per business volume.
Coordinate special events scheduled for the venue.
Manager Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of restaurant management experience in a full‑service restaurant, nightclub, or similar setting.
Hospitality Management degree or some college credit is preferred.
Fluency in English; other languages preferred.
Essential Skills & Physical Requirements
Strong communication skills for interacting with guests, employees, and third parties.
Proficient reading and writing for paperwork, reports, inventory orders, and instruction.
Basic math proficiency for budgeting, profit/loss calculations, percentages, and variance analysis.
Problem‑solving, reasoning, motivation, organization, and training abilities.
Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required.
Willingness to work nights, weekends, or holidays.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, and move around the venue safely and efficiently.
