Martin/Martin, Inc. is seeking a licensed experienced structural engineer with developing project management experience to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA. This role offers the chance to work on structural design projects across diverse markets such as healthcare, commercial, office, sports, entertainment, and education. While many of our projects are located in Georgia, Martin/Martin's national footprint provides opportunities to work on projects around the country.

Our investigative engineers can provide support for existing projects, both buildings and sites, to design and implement repairs, renovations, or improvements. With ten office locations and a staff of more than 370, Martin/Martin engineers regularly perform work throughout Georgia, across the United States, and internationally.
Examples Of Responsibilities
Project Management : Lead and manage engineering and technician staff to successfully complete projects
Client Interaction : Build relationships with the project team and serve as the primary point-of-contact for clients and contractors throughout the design and construction phases
Planning and Budgeting : Develop, monitor, and manage project work plans, schedules, and design budgets
Quality Assurance : Develop and implement project-specific QA/QC plans
Mentorship : Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced staff, assisting with their career development
WORKING CONDITIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:
Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
Remain stationary for long periods of time
Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
Identify color
Read, communicate, and document in English
Determine and exchange accurate information
Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Investigative: Positions self in atypical environments and small, confined spaces
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum
Demonstrates ability to be in responsible charge of projects
Completed a minimum of 12 months as a Professional Engineer and 6 years of progressive engineering experience (MSCE/MSAE counts as 1 year. Passing the 16-hour SE exam also counts as 1 year)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Successfully managed multiple projects and followed them from start of design to completion of construction
Demonstrates effective internal and external communication skills
Shows strong commitment to continued professional development
Participating member of at least one professional and/or technical society
Demonstrates willingness to take on additional work and responsibility
2 years' experience as a Professional Engineer. Passed the 16-hour structural engineering exam
