Job Summary
Responsible for sustaining and improving wet etch processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role monitors and controls process performance, troubleshoots yield and quality issues, and implements process enhancements to relieve bottlenecks and improve production efficiency. Supports the installation and qualification of new tools and technologies, participates in process and technology transfers, and leads small to mid‑size projects and task teams. Works cross‑functionally with Integration, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure stable, high‑performance process execution.
As a Process Engineer, You Will:
Responsible for sustaining and improving wet etch processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment by monitoring and controlling process performance, troubleshooting yield and quality issues, and implementing process enhancements to eliminate bottlenecks.
This role supports the installation and qualification of new tools and technologies, participates in process and technology transfers, and leads small to medium projects and task teams.
Works closely with Integration and Quality organizations to ensure stable, efficient, and high‑performing manufacturing operations.
Skills and Requirements
Strong knowledge of wet etch principles, theories, concepts, and processing techniques
Hands‑on experience with Akrion, DNS, SEZ, and/or Semitool wet etch tools and processes
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively in a global team environment
Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), data analysis, and statistical software such as JMP
Familiarity with PROMIS WIP management systems preferred
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of wet etch process engineering experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred
Six Sigma certification preferred
Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies preferred
