Description This is a full‑time rotating shift Team Lead Inpatient Pharmacist position at our Fishers Hospital in Fishers, IN.
This position exists to provide comprehensive, value‑based, medication‑related care to achieve definite outcomes that improve a patient's quality of life. The incumbent acts in collaboration with other healthcare professionals in the shared responsibility for patient drug therapy outcomes. Key job duties may include ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the medication use process, processing and dispensing medications per order or prescription, medication therapy monitoring, regulatory compliance, maintaining oversight over pharmacist extenders, maintaining the security of medications, and protecting the confidentiality of patient information. In addition, the incumbent displays mastery when providing drug information support for healthcare personnel, ensuring continuity of care, and anticipating potential issues in common and less common situations. The position also coordinates the workflow of the department, regularly collects and analyzes data for process improvement projects, may serve as project lead on major projects affecting pharmacy, aids in the training and coaching of team members, regularly serves as a resource for colleagues, and interacts with healthcare professionals on drug utilization and cost containment.
Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
Requires current Indiana License or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a pharmacist.
Certification is required, if applicable. (e.g., BCPS).
Demonstration of > 5 years experience, pharmacy residency training, or advanced degree is required.
Demonstration of leadership attributes.
