Manager, Financial Systems & Controls About the Role
A global organization is seeking a
Manager of Financial Systems & Controls
to lead systems-based internal control initiatives across its accounting and finance operations. This role is responsible for ensuring financial data integrity, compliance with internal control frameworks, and alignment of system configurations with approved financial policies.
The position plays a critical role in supporting ERP transformations, managing segregation of duties governance, and partnering with IT, audit, and business stakeholders to enhance automation and control effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure business processes and system configurations align with financial policies and audit readiness
Lead large-scale projects to automate accounting processes and implement system enhancements
Provide leadership during system implementations, ensuring embedded controls and compliance
Safeguard financial data integrity during cutovers, migrations, and transitions
Design and govern ERP user profiles (SAP ECC/S4HANA), ensuring role-based access and SoD compliance
Conduct risk assessments and control evaluations across accounting processes
Support internal and external audits with documentation and remediation plans
Advise finance, IT, and operations leadership on system controls and compliance
Provide training on policy adherence, access management, and control awareness
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
6+ years of relevant experience
Public accounting experience preferred (Big 4 ideal)
Experience with IT systems (SAP preferred), automated controls, and implementations
Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance
Excellent communication, collaboration, and project leadership skills
