Sales / Inside Sales Rep - Detroit, Michigan
Japanese manufacturing company is seeking a Sales / Inside Sales Rep in Detroit, MI. Products: Electronics test and measuring instruments (for audio, video, computer, semiconductor, and others) Communication measuring instruments Mechanical measuring instruments Environment temperature and humidity chamber Shock and drop tester Vibration testing system EMC‑ESD and surge simulator And everything else we sell in the US Responsibilities: Sales 30%
– Manage existing accounts to ensure continued growth. Work with internal departments to support the operation of the business unit. Effectively manage expenses and submit expense reports in a timely manner. Create quotation and credit management. Travel up to 30% (mainly Midwest: KY, OH, and MI or any other location of the U.S). There is a possibility of traveling overseas. Contact the headquarters in Japan regarding product inquiries. Perform other duties as assigned, as related to the job function. Oversee the logistics schedule and machine installation. Provide customer service in English, Japanese, and Chinese. Attend video meetings with the Japan headquarters. Inside sales 70%
– Oversees the completion of assigned projects from start to finish. Provide data and guides to help the sales team. Performs and assesses Kaizen activities. Organizes and oversees advertising/communication campaigns, exhibitions, and promotional events. Conducts market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition ventures. Conceives and develops efficient and intuitive marketing strategies. Monitors the progress of campaigns using various metrics and submits reports of performance. Suggests sales process improvements. Assists sales and sales manager with quotations and planning procurement. Completes other projects and tasks assigned by the management. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working as a team player in an international environment. Previous sales or related experience.
