Job Summary The Machinery Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.
Responsibilities
Set up, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on 3-axis CNC machines.
Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Prepare and set up CNC equipment for scheduled production runs.
Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on production and packaging equipment.
Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, electronic schematics, and die drawings to complete maintenance tasks accurately.
Set up machines, fixtures, guides, jigs, drills, and dies to produce parts within documented tolerances.
Operate saws, punch presses, drill presses, mills, and other fabrication equipment as required.
Operate window fabrication equipment as directed by management.
Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Skills & Requirements
Proficient in maintaining complex manufacturing machinery, including 3-axis CNC equipment with multiple heads, solenoid valves, digital outputs, and feed rate adjustments.
Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and basic electrical troubleshooting techniques.
Skilled in the use of measuring tools, hand tools, and precision instruments.
Ability to implement effective preventive and corrective maintenance processes to reduce downtime.
Comfortable using computer applications for documentation, Excel spreadsheet modification, inventory control, and maintenance reporting.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
5–8 years of hands‑on experience operating and maintaining 3-axis CNC machinery, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
