Title: Software Database Engineer I
Work Location: Hybrid in Redmond, WA (Onsite Requirement: 3 days per week)
Duration: 3 Months (It may extend after the budget approval)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Pay Rate Range: $30 to $33/hr
Candidate Requirements Disqualifiers:
No bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field Lack of alignment with required hard skills
Ideal Candidate Profile Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Clear and effective communication skills Exposure to SQL performance testing and diagnostics Programming experience in C, C#, and/or PowerShell Solid foundational computer science knowledge Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
Top 3 Must-Have Hard Skills Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field Programming Skills: C, C#, PowerShell Windows OS Experience
Job Responsibilities Design system architecture encompassing software, hardware, and communications Ensure system compatibility with agency IT architecture standards Validate compliance with common operating environments Analyze workflows, planning, and system performance issues Develop and recommend corrective actions Support cross-functional system integration Provide guidance and direction as needed within the team
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (required) Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred 0–2 years of professional experience Exposure to custom software development using various programming languages Ability to apply fundamental engineering concepts, processes, and practices Practical experience gained through training, internships, or early-career roles
