Occupational Therapist - Anderson Regional Medical Center (Med Surg)

How you’ll contribute
Assess patient’s ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills; design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
Document subjective and objective findings of patient progress.
Monitor and modify the plan of care as needed; seek consultation as necessary.
Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting; provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
Supervise and delegate the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.

Qualifications and requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (required).
State Licensure for Occupational Therapy.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
