Responsibilities:
Lead daily production operations to optimize throughput, efficiency, and raw material utilization.
Plan and manage production rates while improving operating efficiency and cost performance.
Make or support critical site-level decisions related to capital projects, production priorities, maintenance planning, budgeting, and cost control.
Champion a strong safety, environmental, and compliance culture, ensuring adherence to employee, process, contractor, and environmental safety standards.
Develop and implement people initiatives including training, talent development, workforce planning, organizational design, hiring, onboarding, and succession planning.
Collaborate closely with plant leadership and maintain regular communication with cross-functional teams such as Supply and Demand Planning.
Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven decision-making and structured problem-solving.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Pulp & Paper preferred).
5-10 years of progressive experience in plant operations, including leadership experience within the chlor-alkali or chemical manufacturing industry.
Strong working knowledge of Responsible Care®, Process Safety Management (PSM), quality systems, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
Experience managing plant operations, budgets, cost controls, and safety and environmental programs.
Familiarity with business and operational systems such as DCS, JDE E-One, Dayforce, Coupa, SharePoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and MOC/KMS platforms.
Proven ability to interact with regulators, customers, contractors, and community stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills to interpret process data and lead technical and incident investigations.
Demonstrated success in recruiting, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
