Live Oak Waldorf School
is seeking a Kindergarten Assistant beginning immediately. The candidate will support the Kindergarten program under the direction of the primary teacher, assisting in creating a safe, nurturing environment for children in the Live Oak Waldorf School community.
About the School Live Oak is a fully accredited Waldorf school on a forty‑acre campus serving 200 children from preschool through eighth grade. The school offers a comprehensive Waldorf curriculum that includes Spanish, handwork, woodwork, music, orchestra, Eurythmy, movement education, and a strong emphasis on community and outdoor life.
Responsibilities
Assist the lead teacher in classroom activities and lesson preparation.
Supervise children during regular class hours and independent play.
Prepare snacks, support housekeeping, and handwork duties.
Participate in story time, circle time, singing, finger games, and movement activities.
Help children clean and tidy the classroom.
Provide child observation support.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have:
At least 200 contact hours with Kindergarten‑aged children.
Experience in a Waldorf early childhood classroom.
At least one week of Waldorf early childhood coursework.
