We have an exciting opportunity to work in mental health services. We are looking for an empathetic and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working in acute female inpatient services. This vital role involves interacting with the patients on a daily basis and helping them meet their daily needs.

In addition, the job entails being on the front line of monitoring patients' mental state in order to report this to registered nursing colleagues.

The post is for full time working, which requires working on a rota-based system with rotational nights and bank holidays also a requirement. Previous experience is desirable but not mandatory, as full induction to the service, complete with all mandatory training, will be given to the successful applicant.

Once established in post, further opportunities for additional training and career progression can be offered. Excellent remuneration package under Agenda for change including NHS pension and annual leave provision.

Main duties of the job To be clinical leader of the nursing team, providing care for people with severe mental illness and mental health problems.

To provide clinical services that work within the policies, protocols and clinical procedures of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust.

To work as part of a team providing a user-focused, accessible and responsive acute nursing service that is safe, supportive and competent for people who experience acute mental health problems.

To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for those who are experiencing acute mental health needs, within agreed limitations.

Patterns of working will be by arrangement and may include evenings, weekends, bank holidays and on-call responsibilities.

Provide management supervision to members of the team.

To undertake managerial duties in the absence of the Ward Manager/Clinical Lead.

Person Specification Qualifications RMN or RNLD or RN: 1st Level Registration (NMC) or degree or equivalent Evidence of specialised continued professional training (degree level) in clinical practice Management Training Certificate in clinical supervision

Experience Relevant experience of working with adults with mental health needs. Or clear evidence of substantial experience of working with individuals in crisis and skills that are transferable to both the community/in-patient. Highly developed clinical reasoning skills. Sound knowledge of the national agenda for mental health. Sound knowledge of clinical/risk assessment and understanding of Information Governance principles. Experience of working within mental health care

Skills & Competences Demonstrating supportive and sensitive communication to patients, carers and staff, whilst demonstrating an understanding of the nature and effects of information Delegation whilst maintaining overall responsibility for patient care, where appropriate. Demonstrate the ability to lead a clinical team. Highly motivated and able to engage with service users and carers to improve outcomes Ability to work independently and collectively. Understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to support colleagues move through appropriate process
