Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, and optimize control systems and automation solutions.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and support Siemens-based control systems, including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, Profinet).
Support motor control systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and electrical distribution systems.
Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Siemens PLC and HMI programs, including logic and process control changes.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance focused on improving system reliability and performance.
Develop and manage maintenance schedules for all control system hardware and software.
Maintain accurate documentation of system modifications, repairs, and logic changes.
Administer and support the plant computer network and server systems.
Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve automation and process performance.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, engineering firms, and internal technical teams.
Participate in an on-call rotation to support plant operations as required.
Support special projects as assigned by the Maintenance or Production Manager.
Provide coverage for the CEMs Technician during periods of absence.
Contribute effectively in a collaborative, team‑oriented work environment.
Update electrical and control drawings using AutoCAD as needed (preferred).
Skills/Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in an electrical, automation, or process control environment.
Cement manufacturing or heavy industrial process experience preferred.
Strong background in PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and industrial control systems.
Demonstrated expertise in process control, electrical systems, and process optimization.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and P&ID diagrams.
Proven experience in PLC logic development, programming, and HMI systems.
Experience operating data acquisition and analysis systems and related software.
