Role Summary
Act as the primary commercial contact for customers.
Review customer and supplier contracts.
Manage order scheduling and document control.
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze purchase orders and contracts for contractual requirements, obligations, customer flowdowns and stipulations.
Recommend contract provisions and amendments to customers and suppliers.
Negotiate contract terms, conditions and payment structures.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local legal requirements and company policies.
Maintain document control in print and digital format; print and distribute controlled documents.
Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information and documents.
Maintain record retention timelines.
Respond to customer emails and phone calls to manage orders and inquiries.
Gather information necessary to prepare quotations (pricing, production lead time, terms and conditions) upon receipt of orders.
Deliver quotations to customers, follow up and report customer service performance metrics.
Enter purchase orders into the MRP system and distribute job travelers.
Prepare shipping documents (pack slips, certifications, test reports, labels) ensuring accuracy.
Notify customers of shipments with tracking information.
Track and reconcile customer scorecards.
Monitor and actively manage customer portals.
Required Skills
Maintain confidentiality with customer, supplier, and company information.
Account management of customer accounts, including positive, respectful, professional communication.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Time‑management skills.
Ability to perform under pressure.
Advanced computer skills: Excel, Outlook, Word, and manufacturing MRP experience.
Attention to detail.
Interpersonal and customer service skills.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Multitasking and organizational skills.
Teamwork skills to collaborate across departments.
Education & Experience
8+ years of relevant work experience.
Aerospace, DOD, or Government contracts experience preferred.
Experience with ITAR, AS9100, ISO 9001, NIST 800-171 preferred.
Bachelor’s degree required; engineering or business preferred.
