Join us at The Hamilton, a cornerstone of DC's dining scene and home to Hamilton Live, one of the city's largest live music venues. Located in downtown Washington, DC near Metro Center and McPherson Square, we offer a dynamic work environment where you contribute to unforgettable dining and entertainment experiences.
Pay Range $17.50 - $22.50 per hour
Responsibilities
Receive requisitions for foodstuff and supplies, lift, carry, and deliver items to kitchen and dining room staff.
Sort, count, and weigh goods; check quality and condition; verify and, if necessary, adjust quantities, prices, and descriptions against invoices.
Label, date, and store products in proper containers and designated storage areas, rotating items using FIFO method.
Maintain clean and organized receiving, storage, mechanical rooms, loading docks, prep rooms, elevator pit, and trash areas.
Remove all trash from interior and exterior facility.
Change gas tanks, beer kegs, soda, and wine canisters.
Qualifications
Hardworking, attentive, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service.
Ability to communicate with vendors and review orders, invoices, and receipts.
Basic mathematical skills.
Capability to assess quality and, where applicable, quantity of foodstuffs by sight, taste, smell, and touch.
Availability to work a variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and to respond efficiently to unanticipated problems and crises.
