We currently have an immediate need to bring on two QC Analysts for a contract role within our Metrology Department in Devens, MA. One opening is 8pm-8am (12 hour shifts rotating schedule) and the other opening is for 4pm - 12:00am.
These openings are long-term, open-ended contracts with benefits with the possibility to go permanent.
Job Summary:
This position has primary responsibilities which include accurate part and assembly inspections and tests performed to customer specifications, operating computerized inspection systems, such as coordinate measurement machines and vision inspection equipment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Takes instruction, training and guidance from senior level metrologists.
Works closely with other quality, manufacturing and engineering personnel, performs special and on-going projects to improve the reliability of products and processes.
Participates in MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis) i.e.: GR&Rs (Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility)
Assist Quality personnel with in-process inspections (WIP)
Prioritizes workload to meet project deadlines and interim due dates
Reads, understands and executes inspections per documented Metrology Requests, drawings and specifications and verbal communication
Performs first piece inspections under guidance
Performs Process Capability studies (Variable Data)
Performs Attribute Analysis (Visual Data)
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 2 years experience in the quality field
Basic Knowledge of IQMS
Good written and verbal communication skills
Measurement System Analysis experience preferred
Basic knowledge of 3-axis coordinate measuring equipment
Must have working knowledge of Statistical Process Control and understand basic statistical concepts
Must be able to use Microsoft Excel and Word proficiently
Analyze data using statistical operations
Basic interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
ADA Requirements:
Office II
Typically sits, grasps items and performs keyboarding for frequent operation of a computer
Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally
Lift, move or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally
Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards
Travel by air or car occasionally
