Under the supervision of the Clinic RN Manager, manages flow of clinic leading all staff in provision of medical and nursing care, ensuring high quality standards. Coordinates services with primary care Providers; acts as primary liaison. Triages and assesses participants as needed. Provides skilled nursing care to participants, implements orders, develops appropriate plans of care, provides participant, caregiver, family, and staff teaching and communicates participant’s condition to caregivers, primary care, and the interdisciplinary team. In the absence of the Clinic RN Manager, assumes his/her responsibilities, including oversight of all responsibilities for LPN, Clinical Assistants, and Clinic Clerk. May need to provide position support at another Inspira LIFE Center due to operational need.
As a multisite provider of PACE community-based services for seniors in Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties, an Inspira LIFE employee may work at either or both the Vineland or Williamstown LIFE Program as census changes or operational needs occur to meet the needs of our participants.
Education & Experience
Graduate of a school of professional nursing, BSN required.
Minimum of 1 year working with the frail or elderly.
2 years of Nursing Experience.
Certification / Licensure
RN License – New Jersey.
NJ State Choice Assessment Certification to complete level of care assessments–– This training will be provided by Inspira LIFE within the first 12 months of employment.
BCLS required.
Valid Driver’s license, proof of insurance and have a reliable means of transportation as described in Fleet Policy # TR 118.
Knowledge & Skills
Broad knowledge base of health care problems of the frail elderly.
Skilled in physical assessment and triaging.
Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
Skilled in preparing and maintaining records and writing reports and responding to correspondence.
Skilled in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with participants, medical staff, staff members and family caregivers.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
