Job Description We are currently looking for an experienced Project Assistant to join our team in Sacramento, CA! The ideal candidate has plumbing and/or HVAC-specific experience in the construction field as a Project Assistant. Experience in construction is preferred, but not required! Iron Mechanical is a large-scale plumbing and HVAC subcontractor with projects across the state, focusing primarily on multi-family housing and high rises, but also much, much, more! Our team is dynamic, fun, tight-knit and growing fast!

Responsibilities:

Assist Project Manager with daily duties

Assist foreman with on-site safety matters

Submit and track material submittals

Write, submit, and track Requests For Information

Track cost of field operations using data from project control budget

Create and maintain project schedule

Attend coordination meetings with the subcontractors and project owners

Attend pre-construction and progress meetings

Compare quotes from multiple vendors; complete buy-out process

Be a liaison between field personnel and office

Request and package O&M's

Ability to read plans and specs; proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Some travel to job sites may be required

Essential Qualifications:

Construction knowledge is preferred

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and ask for help when necessary

Professionally communicate with clients, vendors etc.

Willing to learn new software, systems, standards etc.

Positive, cooperative attitude; wants to see projects succeed

Experience with any of the following software systems desired but not required: PlanGrid, Bluebeam
