Position Operations Manager full‑time, in‑person, South Jordan, Utah.
The Opportunity Are you the person in your friend group who organizes trips, builds spreadsheets, and finds a way to automate boring tasks using AI? We are a fast‑growing startup looking for a brilliant, high‑energy, highly organized Operations Manager to help run and scale the internal systems that power Lumion. This is not a sit‑and‑wait role. You will be the backbone of daily execution, responsible for ensuring our systems run smoothly and for finding new ways to use technology, especially AI and automation, to make the team dramatically more efficient. This role is ideal for someone who is smart, scrappy, detail‑obsessed, and excited to take real ownership. You will work closely with leadership and cross‑functional teams to bring structure to complexity, fix broken processes, and build scalable ways of working.
Key Responsibilities Operational Systems and Architecture
Own, maintain, and optimize Lumion’s internal tech stack, project management tools, and internal dashboards
Identify broken or inefficient processes and design better, scalable solutions
Ensure systems are clean, organized, and reliable so nothing falls through the cracks
AI and Automation
Actively research, test, and implement AI tools and automation to streamline repetitive tasks and improve team output
Partner with teams to embed AI‑driven workflows into daily operations
Continuously look for opportunities to make Lumion operate 10x more efficiently
Process Documentation
Turn “how we do things” into clear, repeatable SOPs and internal playbooks
Maintain up‑to‑date documentation that enables consistency and scale
Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous or undefined workflows
Project Management and Execution
Coordinate cross‑functional projects and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met
Act as the guardian of the calendar and master of the to‑do list
Track progress, surface risks early, and communicate clearly with stakeholders
Data and Reporting
Track operational KPIs and performance metrics
Create clear, organized reports and insights for leadership
Use data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements Who You Are Required
Hyper‑organized and process‑driven. You find peace in a clean inbox and a well‑structured project board
Extremely detail‑oriented. You notice errors, inconsistencies, and gaps before anyone else does
Tech‑native and systems‑minded. You are comfortable learning and managing new tools quickly
Strong written and verbal communicator who can bring clarity to complexity
High‑agency and proactive. You do not wait to be told what to do and bring solutions, not just problems
Smart and scrappy. You may be early in your career, but you learn fast and execute even faster
Excited about AI, automation, and using technology to work smarter, not harder
Comfortable with a “no task too small” mindset in a fast‑paced startup environment
Preferred
2–3 years of experience in operations, project management, or a high‑growth startup environment
Experience with tools such as Notion, Aircall, HubSpot, Zapier, Zendesk, Slack, or similar platforms
Demonstrated interest in AI tools and workflow automation, including effective prompting and use cases
Background in business, operations, finance, or technology
