Responsibilities The Entry Level Highway Engineer is responsible for the planning and design on transportation related projects. The primary duties will be to support Senior Project Engineers in a variety of tasks to support design of transportation facilities, including design of highways, pedestrian facilities, bicycle facilities, and transit improvements. Responsibilities will include development of geometric alignments, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates and the development of technical reports.
Qualifications
Must have a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
Relevant internship/job experience related to transportation engineering required.
0-4 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle multiple assignments.
Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation, OpenRoads and AutoCAD preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Compensation The expected annual compensation range for this position is $72,000.00 - $97,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
