is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician in Salisbury, Maryland. Habitat America is a third‑party property management company largely based in the Mid‑Atlantic region.
Applicants who are qualified for this position have 2+ years prior apartment maintenance experience. Experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting is needed. HVAC & CFC certifications are a plus! It is imperative that the Maintenance Technician be able to work independently and also as a member of a team.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance.
Manage technical maintenance tickets and assist with unit turnovers.
Participate in the after‑hours on‑call rotation.
Report directly to the Community Manager.
Qualifications
Energetic, self‑motivated individual who can work as a team.
Prior experience with apartment maintenance: appliance troubleshooting, drywall, and painting.
HVAC/CFC certification preferred but not required.
Ability to understand and oversee work performed by contractors.
Professional demeanor at all times.
Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
Extensive mobility and excellent physical condition.
Willingness to work weekends and be part of an on‑call rotation.
