Position Summary:

The Poker Seating Clerk performs the functions of Cashier, Chip Runner, and Seating Clerk determined by business demands. The Poker Seating Clerk will perform tasks as needed by Poker Room Management. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions

Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort’s “Winning Attitude” company-wide culture and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.

Safeguard assets of the company.

Keep custody of cash and casino chip instruments.

Account for all cage instruments on the cage accountability sheet.

Handle purchasing and selling of casino chips.

Balance bank at end of shift.

Responsible for funds in locked area.

Prepare game fills that are even money transactions.

Keep custody of designated keys for the Poker Room.

Obtain Thunder Rewards cards for Guests upon request.

Answer phones and respond to Guest inquiries.

Add Guests to waiting list.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

One (1) year of experience in customer service preferred.

Previous cash handling experience preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.

Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to learn and understand Title 31 requirements.

Computer proficiency, with knowledge of computer keyboard layout.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.

Physical Requirements

Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.

Must be able to lift 30 lbs. with or without assistance.

Ability to stand for duration of shift.

Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
