Job Responsibilities

As a team member or independently, as required, diagnose, and repair all mechanical and electrical machinery problems related to the production equipment.

Demonstrates proficiencies in pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC, electrical controls, AC/DC drive motors, machine component clearances / fits and an overall understanding of machine operation and function.

Completes preventative machine maintenance as assigned, troubleshooting issues or concerns with the production equipment.

Ability to work with machinery drawings and specifications, electrical schematics, machine manuals or other forms of assembled data as related to the production environment.

Fabricates needed components, as needed, to complete repairs.

Maintains accurate records of equipment repairs.

Ability to use and navigate the CMMS system for maintenance items.

Professionally communicates / collaborates with all team members and machine set up operators to improve the overall operation of the manufacturing areas.

Follows guidance and directives, verbal and/or written, provided by the Manufacturing Manager and other Managers in the Company.

Performs daily responsibilities in coordination with company and departmental work instructions.

Provides positive approach to problem solving to minimize machine downtime and prevent reoccurrence.

Follow all safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees.

Create and maintain a safe work environment; repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelines.

Perform the necessary safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees.

Demonstrates safe and efficient operating skills of machine shop equipment, such as milling machine, surface grinder, lathes, etc.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

5+ years of related experience and/or training .

An understanding and/or working knowledge of the machines and equipment within the manufacturing environment.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Experience troubleshooting PLCs and Ladder logic.

Experience working with hydraulics, motors, and pumps.

Strong mechanical skills and aptitude

Basic computer skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints or data.

Visual acuity for detailed work.

Knowledge of cold heading preferred.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift approximately 40 lbs. from floor level to waist, and waist to floor approximately 5 times per hour.

Must be able to stand approximately 8-10 hours per day.

Mechanical ability.

Able to bend, twist, and squat in sometimes awkward positions for prolonged periods of time while exerting force (pushing or pulling) on hand tools to adjust machine.

Work Environment: Non airconditioned, well-ventilated manufacturing facility.

Full-time, regularly scheduled to work 10 hours a day.

Must be able to work Monday-Saturday.

Pay: Up to $32 per hour (based on experience)
