About the Vacancy Position Summary The System Operator is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the facility’s automated material flow and handling systems. This role monitors and manages the computer-based Material Flow Control System (MFCS) and performs physical troubleshooting of material handling equipment (MHE) to ensure smooth pallet flow, minimal downtime, and compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage the automated Material Flow Control System (MFCS) to ensure smooth pallet flow throughout the facility

Troubleshoot interruptions to automated flow by investigating issues and taking corrective action

Manually operate conveyors and other material handling equipment when required

Ensure automated systems and MHE are operated in accordance with SOPs, supplier guidelines, and safety standards

Communicate MFCS or equipment issues to team members and maintenance personnel

Notify Maintenance Technicians of equipment requiring repair and assist as needed

Coordinate with Planners and Maintenance teams to resolve system issues with minimal operational impact

Ensure all actions comply with OSHA, FDA, FSDA, and company safety and quality requirements

Maintain product quality standards, including temperature control and damage prevention

Complete accurate shift handover reports

Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Responsibilities

Assist with other warehouse activities as required

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Continuously identify and suggest opportunities for process and system improvement

Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred

Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related technical, warehouse, or operations role Experience operating Material Flow Control Systems (MFCS), automated conveyors, or industrial control systems preferred Strong computer skills and ability to work with automated systems

Physical & Work Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Ability to work effectively in cold storage or freezer environments with provided PPE

Ability to climb ladders up to 120 feet using required safety harnesses

Ability to wear required respiratory protection equipment, including SCBA, when necessary
