Description
Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving team member receives shipments and fulfills orders, keeps track of inventory, ships orders and maintains the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labeling operations and sorting.
Driving to pick up or drop off materials
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
Execute and document quality inspections per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
Perform related duties as required by supervision.
Break down cardboard for recycling.
Load and unload items from machines
Locate parts
Record information
Clean work areas and equipment
Provide assistance to co-workers
All other duties, as assigned.
Requirements Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization.
Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Demonstrates solid problem solving skills.
Maintain the production pace of other team members.
Utilize power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Must have a valid drivers license with good driving history (no DUIs or major speeding tickets)
Understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from various levels within the organization.
Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Demonstrates solid problem solving skills.
Maintain the production pace of other team members.

Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Work Environment Employee may be regularly exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, risk of shock and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment such as overhead cranes, welding, machining, painting etc.
Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, talk, hear, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stretch, crouch. Lift or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requires close focus, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and focus adjustment.
