Full-Time, 45+ hours per week
Work Hours (5AM-3PM)
The truck driver will perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans in support of the Transportation Department. This driver may operate a tractor with a tanker trailer to pick up products at the supply points and deliver it to area facilities.
Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Drive assigned Tractor/Tanker trailer to pick up propane/fuel and deliver to assigned facilities
Perform required daily vehicle inspections
Safety and efficiently transfer products between transport and bulk storage
Maintain DOT compliance
Performing routine inspection and preventive maintenance
Performing all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards
Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
High School Diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
One (1) year relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job
Valid Class B State Driver’s License with HazMat and Tanker Endorsements
Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
Ability to safely drive various vehicles
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to work independently
Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions
Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization
Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds
