Liturgy Coordinator (Full Time)

Description The Liturgy Coordinator is responsible for preparing and coordinating all liturgical and devotional celebrations in close cooperation with clergy, staff, and volunteers.
Essential Job Duties:
Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic ministry and the mission of St. Helen Catholic Church in both professional and personal life. Model the teachings of the Catholic Church and act as a witness to Gospel values.
Plan, coordinate, assist with, and attend liturgical and devotional celebrations.
Plan and maintain the liturgical schedule of clergy and liturgical ministers in collaboration with the priest and ministry leaders.
Organize meetings with liturgical ministry leaders for planning.
Recruit, train, and maintain volunteers for liturgical ministries and their schedules.
Ensure the worship space and supplies are adequately prepared for celebrations, coordinating with Facilities Manager and Arts & Environment volunteers.
Maintain availability throughout the week to serve parish needs, including weekends and evenings.
Perform other duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Catholic teachings, parish and diocesan structure.
Ability to work in a multicultural parish serving various cultures and age groups.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively with staff, clergy, and laity.
Proficiency in word‑processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs.
Ability to work under constant interruptions.
Strong organization, prioritization, and time‑management skills.
Maintains confidentiality at all times.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and implement creative solutions.
Follow verbal or written instructions.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (acceptable to Texas Education Agency).
Two (2) years of related work experience.
Read, write, and converse proficiently in English and Spanish.
Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.
Valid Texas driver’s license.
Compliance with Diocese of Austin Ethics & Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies.
Working Conditions
Engaged in ministry closely tied to the pastor.
At‑will employer.
Buildings and vehicles tobacco free.
Fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
Work on weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
Exposure to religious ceremonies, conduct, speech, including Catholic prayer.
Adherence to dress code and conduct standards.
May require use of personal vehicle for off‑site locations.
Ministerial Character The pastor is the visible principle and foundation of unity. This position supports the pastor’s ministry and engages in ministry for the Church.
