Position Overview
Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Automation Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly.
Hourly Pay $32.00–$35.00 per hour, based upon experience
Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour
Schedule: B Shift – Sunday – Wednesday 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM

Products being handled: Manual and Automated Supply Chain Warehouse Equipment.

Requirements
Vocational or Technical certification or 3 years relevant experience (certificate in lieu of experience)
Knowledge of 480 V and pneumatic equipment – intermediate required
Working knowledge of computer‑based equipment maintenance and parts inventory systems – intermediate required
Independent problem‑solving capability – intermediate required
Ability to use PLC and HMI programming software (Allen Bradley, Ignition, Wonderware) – intermediate preferred
Understand 24 VDC control systems, photoelectric & proximity sensors – intermediate required
Experience programming / troubleshooting servo and stepper motors and related software – intermediate required
Ability to troubleshoot / program bar‑code scanners and other vision systems (Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, etc.) – intermediate required
Warehouse maintenance safety procedures: Lock‑Out Tag‑Out, Fall Restraint, forklift/MHE operational safety – intermediate required
Knowledge operating MHE: forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, etc. – intermediate required
Ability to work independently in a safe manner including working at heights
Important Note: Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities
Ensure PM entries into software are complete and accurate
Utilize the computerized maintenance management system to keep the department organized and communicate with plant and corporate management
Maintain and insure spare parts inventories and/or consignment inventories consistent with procedures
Participate in continual development and improvement of maintenance policies, procedures, and SOPs for the facility
Ensure a clean and organized maintenance area – facility always tour ready
Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
Establish work schedules that meet demands of operating and PM programs
Perform other duties as assigned
Actively participate in safety and Lean programs; support the Ryder culture
