Full Time Maintenance Worker – Public Works
The City of Orono is seeking candidates for a Full-Time, Maintenance Worker in the Public Works Department. This position operates light and heavy equipment and performs manual labor in a wide variety of activities related to maintaining the city’s streets, storm water, parks, water, and sewer facilities. The current hourly rate is $31.70–$39.23 plus excellent benefits. To ensure consideration submit cover letter, current resume and completed City of Orono application by January 14, 2026, 4:30 PM.
Desirable Qualifications
Two (2) years of related experience.
Associate’s Degree in Public Works.
Completion of a certificate program in Public Works.
Valid Minnesota Commercial Class B Driver’s License with air brake and tanker endorsements, or ability to obtain within one-year of employment.
Class “D” or higher wastewater collection system license.
Class “D” or higher water treatment and collection system license.
