The company is at an exciting inflection as we continue to expand our existing brand portfolio and deepen relationships with new and existing customers. As Material Handler you will be responsible for handling, moving, and storing varying kinds of materials, loading and unloading delivery items, maintaining and recording inventory, cleaning machinery, and keeping loading and docking areas clear.

Location Fully Onsite - 4251 Turin Dr, Bessemer, AL 35020

Compensation

Starting Hourly Rate: $18.00 per hour

Weekly Production Bonus: Eligible employees can earn an additional $2.00 - $2.50 per hour for all hours worked in a week when production, quality, and on‑time delivery targets are met. Bonus eligibility is determined by employment status at the time of payout.

Work Schedule

Monday – Thursday: 6am – 4:30pm

Friday: 6am – 2:30pm

Saturday (as needed): 6am – 11:30am

Candidates must be able to work up to 6 days per week with Saturdays scheduled on an as‑needed basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operating propane forklifts and other machinery to move items onto and off shelving, trucks, and loading.

Contributing to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials throughout the Warehouse by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.

Ensuring orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product for final distribution including packing, crating, loading, and securing.

Practicing customer service when interacting with other companies and clients and ensure that all external parties have a positive interaction with our company.

Supporting Receiving by following procedures for paperwork and system transactions when needed.

Providing support for all material handler functions when needed.

Safely operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.

Adhering to assigned routes and follow time schedules.

Abiding by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.

Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries and pickups.

Qualifications and Attributes

High School diploma or GED is required.

2+ years working in industrial manufacturing setting is required.

At least two years' experience in inventory tracking and/or management is preferred.

Current sit‑down propane forklift operation certification preferred; must have the ability to obtain and retain sit‑down propane forklift operation certificate.

Ability to issue material to work orders using a kiosk or handheld scanner is required.

Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance with consistent schedule adherence.

Ability to identify parts using a written description and drawing is required.

Ability to run various types of propane or electric powered forklifts and/or hand trucks.

Ability to lift 60 or more pounds as needed throughout work shift.

Ability to work scheduled hours as required by the company, occasional overtime hours may be required/scheduled.

Strong attention to detail required.

Strong English oral and written communications skills, strong mathematics skills; ability to read and understand shipping manifests and related documents required.

Physical Requirements

Maintain clear and accurate records.

Understand and follow oral and written directions.

Work regular shifts to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as assigned. May be subject to call back, on call and/or emergency shifts.

May be required use step stools or ladders and use such to store and retrieve items of various sizes, shapes, and forms.

Lift and/or carry up to 60 pounds, and pull, push, or drag up to 150 pounds of incoming materials.

Must possess general manual dexterity to operate computer, equipment, tools, controls, or other objects; reach with hands or arms.

Must possess mental acuity for attention to accuracy and detail.

Must see in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Must hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

Must be able to hear clearly when working around equipment and traffic.
