Job Summary And Qualifications The VP of Quality is responsible for overseeing the duties/functions necessary to assure regulatory and accreditation compliance and advises the Hospital and Board on these issues. The VP of Quality is responsible for the coordination of regulatory survey and reporting activities within the organization which would include staff compliance with patient safety goals and compliance with JCAHO, AHCA and CMS standards. The VP of Quality is responsible for developing and monitoring unit/department specific QA/PI plans, initiating appropriate action to improve outcomes. This position supervises Risk Management and Infection Control departments and has cross accountabilities and interactions with Medical Staff Services, Education, HIM, and any other applicable areas, in support of improving overall patient care.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred
Clinical License preferred; CPHQ highly preferred
3+ years of acute care related quality experience required
8+ years of clinical acute care experience in quality leadership role highly preferred
