Mobile HVAC/R Hybrid Technician
About the Role
CBRE is hiring a Mobile Commercial HVAC/R Hybrid Technician to support multiple business offices, financial institutions, retail stores, etc. in the Indianapolis area. If you take pride in your work and consider yourself a self‑disciplined technician, we want to hear from you. As a CBRE Mobile Commercial HVAC/R Hybrid technician, you will fix equipment issues, perform preventive and emergency maintenance, and document work notes in a CMMS. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 years' Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration experience. Strong problem‑solving skills, an independent spirit and physical capability to handle a fast‑paced work environment will be critical in this role. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function; you are directly responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on all HVAC and Refrigeration equipment, as well as general building maintenance as needed. This role does not have an on‑call or overtime requirement. CBRE provides a company van, gas card, uniforms, PPE, an annual boot allowance, all tools necessary to complete your job, and more.
What You’ll Do
Work within broad guidelines and policies to conduct inspections and ongoing maintenance on building HVAC and refrigeration equipment, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards. General building maintenance will also be assigned as needed.
Address equipment failures to determine the best course of action for equipment modifications. Apply your expertise to maintain, operate, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems and associated equipment, including electrical distribution and plumbing systems.
Perform assigned repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance, while also completing/updating maintenance and repair records.
Operate company‑issued vehicles in the execution of daily work responsibilities.
Apply a knowledge of standard principles, techniques, and procedures to accomplish tasks and address non‑routine problems.
Serve as a mentor by sharing your deep HVAC expertise and broad functional knowledge across job fields, while leading by example in alignment with CBRE RISE values.
Communicate technical information clearly to both colleagues and clients.
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 4–5 years of job‑related experience.
Valid driver's license required.
EPA/CFC Universal Certification.
Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and experience with a CMMS.
Advanced math skills, capable of computing mildly complex figures like percentages, fractions, and other financial‑related calculations.
