Social Services Assistant

OVERVIEW
The Social Services Assistant will help with the operations of the social services department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and assist clients visiting
Oversee volunteers
Organize catering and refreshment needs for meetings
Assist with Corps programs
Drive to pick up donations
Coordinate the food pantry distribution
Coordinate the diaper program distribution
Collect data for statistics
Assist homeless clients with their mail
Assist with our dinner program
Other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
CA Driver's license (required)
Experience in data entry (preferred)
ServSafe food handling certificate (within first fourteen days of employment – company provided)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
Knowledge of Microsoft programs
Ability to work with diverse populations
Team player
EQUIPMENT USED
Modern office equipment and relevant software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
