We are seeking an accomplished Sales Leader deeply familiar with Contact Center as a Service and generative AI to lead the CXE business (Amazon Connect) for the central US. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of building strong relationships with Fortune 1000 and/or Global 2000 organizations, and expertise in market development of cloud infrastructure and/or enterprise applications. This role combines market maker, operator, and general manager responsibilities and focuses on outcome‑based selling, winning new customer segments, and growing existing ones for the long term.
Our team supports new members through a mix of experience levels and tenures, fostering knowledge sharing, mentorship, and career growth.
Responsibilities
Drive strategic workloads to deepen business and technical relationships with customers and partners.
Develop a high‑performing team of sales experts and build mechanisms to enable the field organization to identify prospects and create long‑term opportunities.
Incubate new AWS Productivity Applications services, scale existing services, deliver workload/solution domain expertise, and develop repeatable, packaged solutions to solve customer challenges.
Act as the voice of the customer, influencing product teams and addressing field feedback.
Analyze key customer insights from business drivers, market trends, customer feedback, and operating metrics.
Establish clear goals and quotas for the team, ensuring effective opportunity management and pipeline hygiene.
Plan and allocate resources to meet sales goals and quotas.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
5+ years of sales/sales management in infrastructure or cloud technology leading a direct or indirect account team with proven results.
Leadership experience in a customer‑facing role within the CX/VDI technology industry.
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional people‑management skills; able to inspire and foster desired behaviors through leading by example (Player/Coach).
Ability to motivate, encourage, and coach others to develop strong relationship building and sales skills.
Experience working with new product/service development teams and their outbound functions.
Track record of building rapport with senior customer executives (e.g., CEO, CIO, CTO) and helping customers execute on large engagements.
Success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
Experience carrying quotas while consistently exceeding them by doing the right thing for customers.
Strong CX background with a history of growing a Contact Center, VDI, or Unified Communications business.
Location Preference
Preference for Austin, TX; Chicago, IL; Atlanta, GA; New York, NY.
Salary and Benefits
Colorado: $187,000 - $252,900 annually.
National: $187,000 - $278,200 annually.
