An international automation systems company in Memphis, TN is seeking an experienced Electric Controls Engineer to support their operations. The ideal candidate will be highly familiar with industrial control systems (PLC) and have experience designing and configuring controls hardware (enclosures, layout, HMI, wiring) for large-scale conveyor systems. This is a full time and direct hire position offering a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package (health/vision/dental insurance, 401k options, employee assistance program, and more). Electric Controls Engineer responsibilities include: Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per client application requirements Control panel design, including enclosure layouts, HMI/GUI (graphical user interface) design based on client requirements, PLC programming, and selection of manufacturing methods for customized automation systems Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams on a project basis: read mechanical drawings and understand their electrical requirements to create schematics Create specifications for graphical user interface (GUI) based on client requirements Supervise control system construction and installation at client sites Travel to customer sites facilities to supervise control system construction and installation, and provide technical support for modifications and troubleshooting Electric Controls Engineer Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.S) in Electrical Engineering or similar related field 5+ years of experience with automotive conveyors, or a strong manufacturing background Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) Ability to travel up to 25% Ability to read mechanical drawings Able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required for project deadlines Activ8Recruitment & Solutions / Renaissance Resources Inc., has been one of the leading recruiting firms in North America when it comes to working with Japanese Businesses for more than 25 years.
