South Windsor Veterinary Clinic – Medical Director (Full-Time, On-site)
Location: South Windsor, Connecticut, United States
South Windsor Veterinary Clinic (SWVC), part of Rarebreed Veterinary Partners, seeks a compassionate and skilled Medical Director to lead our small animal practice. We pride ourselves on a family‑oriented, supportive culture with state‑of‑the‑art technology and a 4‑day work week.
Salary Range: $150,000 – $160,000 per year Sign‑on bonus: $75,000
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically.
Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem and communicate with referring veterinarians.
Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field.
Lead and supervise the clinic team, working with the Hospital Manager on finances.
Work with a Regional Operations Manager and the Hospital Manager to achieve high standards and provide superior pet patient care.
Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients in wellness care.
Perform dental procedures.
Contribute to making our workplace enjoyable for all: staff, clients, and pets.

REQUIREMENTS
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.
Preferred: 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a hospital setting.
Preferred: Internship training.
Eligible to obtain Connecticut Veterinary License.
