Primary Responsibilities
Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans; maintain up-to-date nursing care plans, document progress, and recommend revisions (MDS) according to facility policy and procedure.
Make daily and periodic resident visits to monitor and observe residents’ physical/mental condition.
Perform routine nursing procedures and work closely with physicians and families to maintain the health/mental state of residents.
Provide emotional support to residents and families and handle resident and/or visitor complaints, allegations, accidents or incidents.
Provide medical record documentation, including completing 24‑hour reports, end‑of‑shift reports, shift narcotic counts, and documenting the destruction of outdated or discontinued medications.
Maintain up‑to‑date resident medical records.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and possess a valid RN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements.
Have a thorough understanding of the principles of safe and effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana.
Basic computer knowledge and skills.
