Statistician and Biostatistics Analyst 4 will contribute to federally funded research efforts, including participation in the design and analysis of research studies. The primary research focuses on human decision‑making and behavioral assessment using virtual reality technologies. Evaluations will include human cognitive and behavioral responses in high‑stakes and ethically complex scenarios. The analyst will work with an interdisciplinary team, apply machine learning, and assist in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts. The analyst is expected to be compliant with the ethical and regulatory guidelines for human subjects research and data protection.
Responsibilities
50% Conduct educational research activities involving training and assessment of medical personnel’s skills using simulation, virtual reality, and other educational modalities. This includes study design, regulatory submissions, implementation, data collection, data management, and analysis.
40% Contribute to development of research projects, grants, abstracts, manuscripts, and other scholarly products.
5% Attend project meetings and other departmental meetings as required.
5% Complete all required project and institutional specific training activities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
Six years of relevant experience.
Experience in research including study design, implementation, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
Proven record of scholarly output as demonstrated by grants and publications.
Expertise in statistical programs SPSS, SAS, Stata, or R.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree desirable.
8‑10 years of relevant experience preferred.
Experience in educational research including study design, implementation, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
Experience with educational technology such as simulation and virtual reality.
This is a grant funded, 25% FTE and temporary position. This job description can be modified based on departmental needs and organizational requirements.

Scheduled Hours: 20
Shift: First Shift
