As a full‑service team, we bring deep technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to every project—creating safe, efficient, and forward‑thinking transportation solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer – Project Manager to support and grow our Transportation Practice in our Cleveland, Ohio office.

Annual Compensation:

$95,000 – 185,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

Essential Functions

Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio.

Act as point person and firm’s contact with clients while functioning as project manager.

Assist in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects.

Guide and coordinate internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub‑consultants and clients.

Manage multidisciplinary teams.

Have an understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects.

Assist Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices.

On larger projects, may or may not be involved directly in the design.

Inform Operations Management of employee performance on projects.

Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects to aid staffing decisions.

Assist in informal development of other employees.

Other duties as assigned.

Education & Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required; M.S. degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.

P.E. license required.

Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus.

Qualifications

At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering.

Experience working with DOTs required.

Project team leadership experience.

Project and client management experience.

Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required.

Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil‑3D software is preferred.
