Admissions Recruiter
Department: Admissions and Recruitment
Work Location: Main Campus
Responsibilities
Work closely with high school counselors and faculty to establish a visible presence at area high schools through visits, college fairs, meetings with high school staff and conducting day and evening recruitment events.
Establish a pipeline of returning adult students by establishing relationships with district businesses, libraries, chambers of commerce and partnering with Moraine Valley departments to leverage their relationships with local businesses.
Use time management skills to prospect and recruit new students.
Assist in the development of follow-up methods for moving prospective students through the pipeline. Methods may include mailing, e‑mail, personal follow up phone calls and targeted communication.
Be an important part of the development of an annual recruitment plan that includes specific and measurable strategies and outcomes, timelines, evaluation methods and budget source identification.
Responsible for enrollment reports.
Utilize institutional data, dashboards, and CRM information to communicate with students in the pipeline through email, text, phone, and other approaches.
Assist Dual Credit students with the transitioning process to become students of Moraine Valley Community College.
In conjunction with the college’s division offices, deans and departments, develop, implement and evaluate activities and programs that create and expand awareness of the college and its programs to targeted populations.
Coordinate tours, workshops and presentations about the college for groups of prospective students, families, counselors and community members.
Provide exemplary customer service in all interactions with outreach contacts including community members, business contacts, college faculty and staff, high school administrators and admitted and prospective students and family.
Develop and assist in the maintenance of the Admissions Website.
Collaborate with other recruiters to develop ways to effectively utilize student ambassadors in the recruitment process on and off campus.
Work with Admissions staff in providing assistance to students throughout the enrollment process.
Actively participate in educational organizations including IACAC.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Admissions and Recruitment.
Assist with Student Development projects and programming during non‑peak times.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field required.
Minimum of one to three (1–3) years of experience in recruiting and marketing initiatives required, preferably in higher education.
Experience developing and executing strategic plans; working with various campus/community populations and adult and high school learners.
Extensive interaction with the public; excellent written, verbal communication and organizational skills; ability to manage many projects at one time; ability to plan and implement projects and events; knowledge of educational marketing and recruitment practices; technology competency; ability to work weekends and evenings and travel off campus as needed; must possess a valid driver’s license.
Other Qualifications Sought
Knowledge of Colleague (Ellucian).
Metrics driven with the ability to utilize data to drive student enrollment.
Bilingual skills in Arabic, Polish, or Spanish welcomed; experience engaging with diverse campus and community populations.
Position Status Full Time
Hours General Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm one day a week Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Salary $47,945 – $64,160 (plus benefits)
