Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Civil Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects. The Estimator will analyze drawings, specifications, and scope documents to develop competitive and profitable bids while managing risk and supporting project delivery teams.
This role works closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the preconstruction and bidding process.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret civil construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Perform quantity take-offs for earthworks, utilities, concrete, paving, structures, and related civil scopes
Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals
Solicit, analyze, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
Develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
Identify project risks, assumptions, and value‑engineering opportunities
Maintain historical cost data and estimating databases
Assist with bid strategy, schedule reviews, and tender submissions
Support project handover from estimating to operations
Ensure estimates comply with company standards, client requirements, and contract terms
