Job Description Summary
This role is responsible for varying components of the tenant CAM recovery process including lease review and abstracting of recovery terms, assistance with quarterly or monthly reconciliation and true‑up calculation support, lease management, annual CAM reconciliation support, and to be a resource for both the accounting and property management teams on large centrally managed client(s).
Job Description The CAM Analyst Position within Client Accounting will primarily be responsible for the following job duties:
Analyzing and interpreting tenant leases with a specific focus on tenant recovery terms (CAM)
Abstracting lease recovery terms into templates and/or accounting/software
Maintaining expense pools for tenant recovery calculations within software
Supporting accounting team through the calculation of monthly recovery calculation and true‑up entries recorded (including troubleshooting and research as needed)
Key player in project team for large client portfolio onboarding (Recovery terms specific focus)
Maintaining tenant terms in accounting software for ongoing lease administration (renewals, expansions, new tenants, etc.)
Support for annual Recovery Reconciliations as run through accounting software system calculation
Primarily assigned to large client owned platforms and software databases
Knowledge and experience needed for role
Industry level experience (preferably 5+ years) with a specific focus on CAM reconciliation and lease abstracting
Experience in Yardi and MRI software platforms – lease administration
Experience with the full functionality of Recovery/CAM Reconciliations utilizing Excel templates and/or accounting software platforms
Accounting experience – understanding property operations (flow of expenses and revenue derived from tenants)
Strong analytical skills and problem solving
Direct experience with Recovery (CAM) Reconciliations and Lease Administration preferred
Education – Bachelor’s Degree or 1-3 years’ experience
