Director of Rejuvenating Fertility Center Rejuvenating Fertility Center is Manhattan and Connecticutʼs first non-conventional IVF center, founded by world-renowned Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist Dr. Zaher Merhi. Although Dr. Merhi has served Manhattan residents as an award‑winning fertility expert for over 10 years, he has seen the shift in demands from his patients for excellent fertility centers (using non‑conventional treatments) outside of the major cities. That is why he opened New RFC locations in Connecticut, Long Island, Westchester and Brooklyn.
Job Title Sonographer
Responsibilities
Conduct ultrasounds utilizing various transducers, and ultrasound imaging equipment, and Doppler technology
Measure endometrial lining thickness and follicle size for women undergoing IVF
Take direction from the physicians regarding specific patient care
Discern normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology
Conduct clinical assessments and diagnostic OB/GYN/infertility ultrasound procedures utilizing various transducers
Perform ultrasound procedures during embryo transfers, Doppler procedures, and 3D ultrasounds
Recognize cross-sectional anatomy as demonstrated and differentiate normal/abnormal structures
Provide education to patients about procedure performed and communicate information as appropriate to patient during visualization of anatomy
Address concerns or abnormal findings with physician in a timely manner
Communicate with physician, nurse practitioner, or nurse coordinator regarding ultrasound findings as noted and record them in EMR
Clean equipment and exam beds between each patient use using a germicidal solution
Re-order equipment and supplies as needed and reconcile packing slips for business office
Requirements
RDMS Certification
(1) One year of GYN ultrasound experience
Experience with GE Voluson P8, Samsung UGEO H60, SonoArc R7, or Philips ClearVue 650 (preferred; not required)
Demonstrates compassionate and respectful behavior towards patient, family, visitors, peers and managers
Promotes positive co‑worker relationships, teamwork, and cooperation across departmental lines
Takes individual responsibility for providing outstanding quality service
Adheres to general policies and procedures of the organization including:
Corporate Compliance, Code of Ethical Conduct
Policies and procedures (attendance, appearance, punctuality, appearance, professional attitude, etc.)
Quality Improvement activities
Follow all regulatory requirements by the DOH, FDA and others
Location / Hours
Westport, CT / 7am-12pm, Saturdays only
Compensation $40.00 - $50.00 hourly; based upon education and experience
