Seasonal Program Details

Seasonal PRN status with a Full‑Time schedule, running 9/21/25 to 4/4/26.

All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period.

Four (4) weekend shifts are required each four‑week schedule period.

During the 32‑week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts.

Seasonal staff are subject to first call‑off; no guaranteed hours.

Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits except 401(k) and retirement contributions per PRN policy.

Seasonal staff will not receive extra shift bonuses.

Registered Nurses in the program have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.

Current employees of HWS or current Medical City Dallas employees are not eligible for the seasonal program.

Shifts may vary based on department needs.

Compensation Emergency Department Specialty Rate: $62/hr plus applicable differentials.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management.

Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers; documents the administration of care.

Responds promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively.

Teaches patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology.

Educates patients and families on non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes, preparing them for self‑management.

Qualifications Required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Trauma Nursing Core Course obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Registered Nurse credential.

Associate Degree.

Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or equivalents obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
