Summary The People Insights and Reporting Specialist leads workforce data management, cost optimization, and HR analytics in support of operational excellence. The role partners with business leaders to identify opportunities for cost savings, workforce efficiencies, and productivity improvements—particularly in overtime, staffing, turnover, and hiring. The specialist also designs and manages the HR dashboard, providing visibility into key workforce metrics and enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, manage, and analyze workforce data (overtime, staffing levels, turnover, hiring patterns, absenteeism, productivity, etc.).

Identify trends and opportunities for cost savings in labor and workforce practices.

Partner with business leaders to develop action plans that reduce costs and improve workforce efficiency without compromising performance or safety.

Build predictive models to anticipate workforce needs and risks in high‑demand operational areas.

Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive HR dashboard covering all impact areas (turnover, absenteeism, overtime, hiring cycle time, labor cost per unit, productivity, etc.).

Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior leadership on HR and workforce trends.

Translate complex workforce data into actionable insights and recommendations for management.

Lead initiatives that link HR analytics to operational goals, focusing on efficiency and productivity in labor‑intensive operations.

Develop and track KPIs to measure the impact of HR initiatives on cost savings and workforce performance.

Support strategic workforce planning and scenario modeling for future business needs.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with Operations, Finance, and HR leaders to align workforce strategies with business objectives.

Present findings and solutions to leadership teams, building consensus for implementation.

Provide expertise on labor trends, HR technology, and process improvements that drive efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field—or equivalent experience.

2+ years of experience in HR analytics, workforce planning, or related role, preferably in labor‑intensive industries (e.g., mining, manufacturing, agribusiness, logistics).

Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to turn data into actionable insights.

Proficiency in HRIS systems, workforce analytics tools, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.

Strong business acumen and ability to work cross‑functionally with Finance and Operations teams.

Preferred

Experience leading or supporting system implementations, upgrades, or integrations.

Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, or Tableau for data visualization.

HR certification (PHR, SHRM‑CP) or Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, Agile) a plus.

Experience in mid‑to‑large‑scale organizations or industries with high‑volume HR operations.

Physical Requirements

Must be available to work Monday–Friday during regular working hours, with occasional weekend duties.

Ability to maintain a stationary position 80% of the time, with intermittent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and/or crawling.

Ability to move and transport documents, equipment, or other items weighing up to 50 pounds across various locations.

Capable of occasional travel as required.

Capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery.

Capable of frequently communicating with team members and stakeholders, accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions.

Capable of perceiving visuals for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer screen, and engaging in extensive reading.

Working Conditions

Traditional office environment.

Salary Range $70,000 - $85,000 yearly based on experience.
